This is my first time blogging, and I feel a little wierd sitting here, wondering what to type. Basically, the aim of my blog is to share my art with people and to start a pet portrait painting thing. I've always painted animals, and when I painted a friends cat a few years ago, it thought I could be on to a fun thing.
When I say pet portraits, I don't mean photo realistic, soft focus, sentimental crap; my style is more tongue in cheek, playful and graphic. I like to put the subject in a surreal manner, out of context; for example taking part in human activities, dressed up and generally just exaggerating their little idiosyncrasies.
